3rd Sunshine Blogger Award

Sinshine award

I’m on 3rd base. Time to knock this one out of the park! I’m so happy to say that I’m responding to my 3rd Sunshine Blogger award. K. Alice Compeau nominated me in May 2019. I’m just getting around to giving her thanks but alas, she took her blog down.  😢  So, I will acknowledge her by giving her novel “Easy Love” a shout out. It can be found on the big giant Amazon.

As you may know, I stopped tagging bloggers for awards. What I will do is give a mention to any blog (s) that I enjoy and answer any questions given to me from the nominator. So let’s start with the questions K. Alice Compeau had for me.    Lightning round now!

Dogs or Cats? –   Dogs!   (but cats too)

Savory or Sweet? – Savory all the way!

Beach or Forest? –  Beach! ( it has less creepy crawlers )

How do you like to relax? – I tell my Amazon Echo “play ocean sounds.” That relaxes me with a glass of Chardonnay.

What is your biggest fear? – Not to be able to care for myself, or have to rely on someone else when I’m older. At 89 years of age, I see that fear in my dad’s eyes every day. At least he has me.

What inspires you? – The support that everyone gives me on my blog, and I received my first letter of acceptance of a short story. Yeah! I got a story published in the July issue of The World Of Myth Magazine. How’s that for inspiration? 😊

What is your favorite book? – I don’t have one particular favorite so I’ll select Alien III: An Original Audible Drama, by William Gibson.  If you are familiar with the movie franchise this fan fiction picks up where the second movie ends. A ship on its return journey from LV-426 picks up the crew’s survivors Ripley, Hicks, Newt, and Bishop, but they are not alone…

What do you think makes a good story? – From the comments of my last story “Person Or Parties Unknown,” I’d say description and dialogue make the story. The comments were very helpful so I’ve decided to write a follow up to the story and try to get it published before I post it on my blog.  😎

Now is time for me to do a little shout out for blogs that deserves a mention.

Novas Namste 365 Online – Nova is a mental health and self-care advocate who brings a positive start to everyone’s day with quotes, sayings, and a good outlook on life.

Seanarchy –  Sean C. Wright is the author of several novellas and short stories. Im currently reading one of her outstanding stories “Skoll’s Diary” She also provides editing services to make your WIP stand out when published.

More shout outs will come another time. I have more to come.

Next, I have to say Thank You to Patrick and the Cheetah for tweeting me in the right direction. Because of their efforts, I submitted my short story to The World Of Myth Magazine and they published my work! Patrick, your kindness is much appreciated.

You can get to know me by reading some of my fiction and reading my responses to other awards that came my way. Check these out:

side note: for all you tech lovers out there, I’m testing Castlingo.com audio messages that play on amazon devices. I’m not paying for the service so not sure how long this will work but…..  If you have one, tell your amazon or google device to “enable reading quotes.”  Once you do that, you will hear me read some of my Diary Of A Bad Writer quotes. It’s a new way I may start to encourage authors to write. Check it out while it lasts…. bye 4 now!!!

It’s a shame K. Alice removed her blog, but it’s lovely for her to nominate you – Congrats! It’s beach for me too, creepy crawlies are the thing of nightmares. Wayhey on the acceptance for a short story, and congrats on being published in the World Of Myth Mag!

I’ll go grab the ball, because you’ve knocked it outta the park 😉

      K. Alice didn’t like the criticism of her work. I hope she comes back one day. Enjoy the game ball Caz.🥰
