Diary of a bad writer – Week 62

Diary of a bad writer banner

Saturday, January 4th, 2020 – Off from work the past 8 days. I needed to rest my mind and body. It felt wonderful, but it ends on Monday morning. Back to work, back to the old grind. To make it easier I could stop writing for a while. But why is writing the first thing we give up when life gets tough? – Time To Change That MindSet – Now.

There are 24 hours in a day. Guess What? I’m TAKING 2 for writing,

Dont Give Up

The only way to make writing easier… is to keep writing.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the breather from work. It’s so important to get time to really disconnect and unplug and do things to soothe your soul. I think we often give up those things that bring us joy that feel like a luxury (I find these to include reading & writing) when things get tough or life gets busy. Definitely need to change that mindset myself, too!
You’ve still got the weekend, my friend. Enjoy it, spend it however YOU want, and I hope all goes well for your return to work on Monday.

    I love it.
It’s hard to find time for writing. I’m playing with a new schedule a little. I’m making it mandatory for myself to write during my 30-minute break at work. I noticed that once I do that, I feel the need to write some more in the evening (to finish the story). It’s a great feeling. I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep it up, but I am definitely going to try.
I realized a while back that I could definitely slash writing … for now. Unfortunately, I know that the last time I did that, I did not write anything FOR YEARS and it pained me. Plus, writing is good for my mental health.
    Stay golden!

That’s what I’m afraid of. If I put off writing, I may never start up again. Yes, another benefit if we keep it up…mental health. Thanks for sharing G. I will stay golden. 🤗

Yes, back to writing! A refreshing break is necessary but the only way forward to to get back to it. Sound advice! And I need it too! 🙃

Oh yes, keep writing! A rest is good, but reignite your inner flame.

Sometimes a rest is okay, though. Let the ideas sit and bubble. Dedication is important, but you can’t force it either.
