Diary of a bad writer – Week 40

Diary of a bad writer banner

July 9th, 8:00pm. Just completed my next fiction that will post on Friday. Now that it’s done, it seems the story took no effort to write… easy peasy. Then I remembered that blank page before I started. Adding words to a blank page can be scary and overwhelming. Then I think about my goal – to create fiction. The fear is still there, but with each sentence, each paragraph, confidence overcomes that fear.

I totally agree. The further I get into a writing project, the more confident I become. Because I know that feeling, now, when I start a new project, it’s not quite as scary. I know I’ll get to a place where I’m like, “It’s working!!!” 🙂

A fantastic post! Looking back, we know we are writers but the beginning of a blank page is always the biggest hurdle.
