November 19th, 4:00pm – Another story placed in cloud storage until I can resolve plot issues. The thing is, if I can just stop fixing WIP along the way, I’ll have very little on the shelf. I have to remember:
The first draft isn’t to get it right, it’s to get it done. Sometimes it’s hard to follow your own advice.
Interesting thoughts and thank you for sharing them.

The quote about the first draft rings very true… writing is a craft that remains at a level of difficulty no matter how long you’ve practiced it. Sometimes you don’t have the story you really want until a third draft! Write what feels right and piece it all together afterwards!
PS- I really like these diaries you do. They are such a good way to quickly update and even watch your own progression with your writing!

Yes. They are an update, encouragement, and sometimes writing tip. Glad you like them.

I’m the queen of not being able to follow my own advice. Maybe if I say it for you it’ll be easier? “The first draft isn’t to get it right, it’s to get it done” 😉

At least there will be fewer issues with your first draft if you keep editing along the way! Always look on the bright side, Darnell! 😃
