Monday, April 20th– (reflection) Writing may come slow during this time of lockdown, but not the amount of content that can be written. We all have stories of long lines or no masks. That person handling fruit…with contaminated gloves. Making a mad dash for the last roll of tissue…
There hasn’t been a better time to pen events. Writers, Write!
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
― Sylvia Plath
I’m always sluggish this time of year and doing a huge binge watch of “Grimm” isn’t making it easier to write. But I do have stuff coming!!!

Sluggish but still creative. That’s a win 👏

Yeah, this is a weird time. I’d been asked to write a story and given a brief, but nothing is forthcoming. Maybe it’s the curse of having too much time.

Precisely. I had high hopes regarding my writing during the time of the pandemic, but things rarely go according to plan. I will catch up soon!

It’s hard to avoid the current situation creeping into my thoughts and then spilling over into my writing. I have to confess it’s making it more and more difficult to reach into the world of my wip novel, but I’m doing other stuff so it’s not all bad.
We do what we can do 🙂 and be grateful!

I agree Chris. The current situation is the reason I enjoy posting my writing encouragement. It helps me and hopefully others. Thanks for the comment. Be safe my friend 🤗

Absolutely, leave that self-doubt at the door. Sit down and write it all out. I think the heightened anxiety and fear and worry and anger, all of it can provide a powerful fire of motivation and you’re right, the current climate gives us lots to write about.
Stay safe & keep writing, my friend. xx
