Diary of a bad writer – Week 73

Wednesday, April 15th, At Lunch In A Close To Empty Work Place – The best way to improve my writing skill is reading. During this crazy time in my life, I’m reading as much as I can. My writing style is hiding in between the lines of my favorite novel.  (and audiobook)

Got the kids at work on to this (Audible) or at least encouraged them. It’s weird being on a rota and then working from home.
    Stay safe.

Read, read and read some more. I think reading can do and be so much. A source of inspiration, a comfort, a way to expand our horizons, to soothe our souls… I hope you can fill your time and the quietude with all the wonderful books and audiobooks you can manage. Stay safe, Darnell.x

I hope this means you’re enjoying the lack of people at work, using the time to escape somewhere in a story. The last audiobook I listened to was the Stand on the train to work. It took me away from a boring commute and into a desperate disaster. Now I don’t commute because I’m hiding from a desperate disaster. I have no idea what I’m saying here, just your post made me think of it 🙂

My post is a distraction from this crazy time. Glad it made you think about… nothing, and, anything 😉 Be safe as well.

It’s interesting: I practice mindfulness meditation, so that simile has many connotations as well as the obvious one: continuity tempered by impermanence; our place in the natural world and our need to revere it, etc.

    Thanks, Darnell!

There’s nothing better than losing yourself in a book! It’s nice to have someone read to you too 🙂
