Amazon Amp (it’s broadcast radio)

It’s a wonderful day in the WP Community! Hello Everyone! I’m posting today to let you know my much-needed hiatus is soon coming to an end. Reading the work of my followers has always been a pleasure, which inspired my writing. ( and still does ) I’m glad to see many are still here. Focusing on writing requires effort since the loss of my dad, but the greater fear of not being able to write again has me taking steps to get back in the game.

That brings me to Amazon Amp. Currently, in beta, Amp gives everyone the ability to host a live radio show, in which you can stream the music you enjoy. The user has Amazon’s vast Music library to curate millions of licensed songs for listeners. You can have listeners “call-in” to suggest songs to play, discuss sports, pop culture, or the spoken word. I plan to have a writing theme, promoting blogs, and book reviews, while providing writing encouragement. Unfortunately, AMP is still in the beta stage, running on Apple’s IOS platform only. To get started you would need an Amazon account, Apple iphone, iPad or iMac computer. (Invite Code is TWITTER) Beta also means users are learning the platform that opened on March 8th 2022. It’s current state reminds me of the way people video streamed on Twitter in the beginning, not knowing what to say or do. (Some STILL do) I like this format because it’s ONLY audio. No followers can see you. They can hear the music you play or hear you talk… IF you want. This takes a lot of pressure off introverts like me. Anyone can do this and benefit while being behind the scenes.

If you are an Apple user, sign up and listen to the vast shows and music. My user name is niteriter365. I will broadcast on Sundays at 11:00am EST. for an hour or so, in case you want to give this a listen…and you will have someone you already know, in case you want to talk on air!

I will post more information as I get it concerning the AMP platform and my writing endeavors. In weeks to come I’ll givie my blog a face-life to celebrate a happy return to WP. Take care everyone!

Wonderful to reconnect with you Darnell and know that you are well. We, your followers missed you! Thanks for the fascinating information on Amazon amp. What a great idea. I’ll try and listen but the time slot is difficult for me on Sundays. Look forward to your posts though! ☺️💕

So good to hear from you, Darnell. Funnily enough, I was thinking about you only the other day, wondering what you were up to. I love listening to radio but I’m not an Apple user, unfortunately. Pity, since you’ll be on air at 5pm my time.
Look forward to reading you soon though. 🙂
