Back in early 2K, I had a studio apartment. Space was very tight, so I made use of every corner. I had to be creative in the bathroom because this building’s bathrooms had a design that was popular in the 1940s. They were decorated in Pink. Pink tile, Pink bathtub, Pink and white walls. That’s a lot of Pink. But in the words of Theodore Roosevelt: Do what you can, with what you have, where you are… came to mind. I decided to make the best of what I had. I decorated my bathroom with Pink accessories.

I found some photos of what I did to the bathroom. Below is the bathroom decore that was the main topic of conversation of all visitors to my little space in the world.

I may as well mention the bathroom in my dad’s old house. This has a BLUE bathtub. I had some work done since that’s my home now, but I kept the old Blue tub. – Work with what you have.

We had one of those pink bathrooms when I was growing up. My parents tried changing it, that’s how I learned you can’t paint tile. ๐๐
“Work with what you have” applies to people, too – our personalities, talents (or lack of) and where God has placed us. I like to think of the “belt if truth” as (among other things) a tool belt. I’m so grateful that God never gives us an assignment without also giving us everything we need to complete it.
